I tried sending this to you in a message, but I'm kind of new to this site. Thank you SO much for taking/posting your picture "Run Through the Fence". I wrote a note on how it changed me and I posted it on facebook; it'd be a pleasure to me if you'd read it:
For a time now, I'd say about a month or so, I've been struggling a lot with anger. Not bitterness, anger. My past two mornings have been without anger (and really great!) because of spending time to pray a lot more than I usually would, Scripture reading, and declaring things. I missed out on that this morning and no doubt will still do it sometime today, but back to before I caught this revalation.
I logged onto facebook, put on some (angry
) music, and opened a tab for deviantart, a website where people post what they've photographed, graphically designed or even wrote. I typed in "fence" thinking I'd see a few creative urban photographs. As I was scrolling down, one in black and white caught my eye. I clicked on it and the screen changed, but there was only the website logo instead. I clicked on that, and when I did it loaded and went full-sized. What I saw wasn't what I was looking for, but so so much more:
A picture of a row of black monkeybar-like poles about 3 feet tall, and a little girl running under them. The title of the picture was "Run Through the Fence". Then it hit me that, like the Bible says, it's so much easier to get through our problems when we have the heart of a child and are willing and wanting to take God's hand and have Him direct our path fully, than for us to try to jump over them. Even if we can get over one, three, or even five, we'll eventually run out of energy and have to rest, trapped between a cycle of 'black poles'. "Let us run with endurance the race that our Lord God has set before us" says the Bible. No one can jump hurdles forever, but if we're willing to run, our Coach and best Friend will be there with us every step of the way and put others to help us through it. Humbling ourselves and making ourselves 'underdogs' to let God take control will get us through. And when we're on His side, we're champions.
Another detail: I wanted to write a note this morning but had no clue what to write about
So thank you very, very much and your photography is AMAZING!!!! Don't be surprised if you see the comments rolling in,
